By the time I hit Merced, even Highway 99 was too crowded for me,
so I got off and took the 152 west to the 33 south all the way to the Grapevine.

California's farming community

A little dust storm, fortunately, none got in my mouth or eyes.

Stopped to administer some first aid. Bit by something in the neck.
Fortunately, I was well prepared!    Felt so good when I got done I had to take another picture!

The 33 southwest  of the 5 Interstate is really long and has exciting scenery like the shot above and below.
But, once again, for the most part I had the road to myself, except for the occasional truck I had to blast past.
There were miles and miles of scenery like this.
My bike ran exceptionally well. Good thing cuz my phone stopped working and it was HOT!!

No, it doesn't get much prettier than this!
Not only is this pretty, but it smells like oil as well, and it's usually nice and toasty too.
Why people would choose to go to Hawaii is beyond me when you've got this beauty in your own 'back yard'.

And of course, here I am back at home on the beautiful Los Angeles freeways.
Now you see earlier why I said I could see myself living up in Central California.
We get used to this but it would be nice to live life at a slower pace.
Total miles logged? 1,352 from Saturday June 9th through Wednesday June 13th
And it was fun! I'm ready for my next trip.

You know what's wrong with this picture?
I had to go back to the 5 lane freeway and my brother Jerry and
my sister-in-law Vicki got to go here after Yosemite.
